The Artek Corner at Pino Interiors

 

Our Artek corner at the Pino Interiors showroom is constantly changing, with a selection of vintage and newer Artek furniture ranging from early examples from the 1930s to contemporary production.

The selection regularly includes Alvar Aalto classics such as Artek Stool 60, Chair 66, Chair 69, tables, stools and other seating, alongside vintage Artek lighting and less common variations. We also come across older details and constructions sought after by collectors, including War Leg and Sandwich examples, as well as different laminates, linoleum tops, painted finishes and original upholstery.

Artek furniture is also remarkably easy to combine with different interiors. The warmth and natural character of birch works particularly well in Scandinavian and Nordic interiors, but Aalto’s simple forms can just as naturally sit alongside contemporary furniture, colourful textiles, chrome, glass, art and pieces from other periods. Vintage Artek chairs and stools work around dining tables, in kitchens, living rooms and workspaces, while the more sculptural pieces and lighting can bring character to an otherwise minimal interior.
