Alvar Aalto 406 lounge chair for Artek, an uncommon rattan-woven version of the model designed in 1939.

A curved birch frame surrounds the woven rattan seat and back, giving the chair a warm, open appearance and a relaxed seating position.

Two chairs are available, sold and priced individually.

Worn vintage condition with patina and marks to the birch frame. The rattan has been repaired and patched; several strips are loose, broken or missing, with visible gaps and support material beneath parts of the seat. The chairs remain usable for sitting according to the owner. Wear and repairs vary between the two chairs. Please review all images for details.
