The Senior 940-147 table lamp was designed by Finnish lighting designer Heikki Turunen for Orno. Produced in Finland during the 1970s, it pairs a rounded white acrylic shade with a slender chrome-coloured metal stem and circular base.

The model belongs to Orno’s Senior lighting series, which included table, floor and pendant versions. A 1979 promotional photograph preserved by Kerava Museum Services documents the 940-147 table lamp within the series and credits the design to Heikki Turunen.

The glossy dome-shaped acrylic shade creates a soft, sculptural silhouette. Its perforated metal top, polished trim, cylindrical stem and reflective base give the lamp a precise technical character while keeping the overall form visually light.

This example is in very clean vintage condition without significant damage. The electrical components are in working order, and the lamp functions well.
