The Pulkka lounge chair was designed by Ilmari Lappalainen in the late 1960s and produced by Asko Export. It is one of Lappalainen’s most recognizable designs, known for its low profile, relaxed seating angle and distinctive sled-like aluminium frame. The name Pulkka refers to a Finnish sled, which is clearly reflected in the flowing base structure.

This set includes the matching ottoman, completing the original lounge experience. The chair features black leather upholstery, a brushed aluminium frame and a separate head pillow. The seat angle can be adjusted into three different positions, making the chair suitable for both upright sitting and deeper reclining. Together with the ottoman, it has a very comfortable and laid-back feel while still keeping a clean, architectural look.
