A hand-thrown Kohiki-style sakazuki with a wide form (Ø 13 cm × H 7.5 cm), finished in soft white slip with subtle gray and earthy undertones. Kohiki (粉引) is a Korean-influenced technique that became highly prized in Japan during the Momoyama period, admired for its understated, rustic beauty and the way the surface glaze develops warmth with use.

This bowl’s wide and shallow shape suggests use as a sakazuki (sake cup), though in contemporary settings it may also be appreciated as a small chawan or display piece. The natural irregularities in the glaze and texture embody the wabi-sabi aesthetic, celebrating imperfection and the passage of time.

The piece comes with its original tomobako (signed paulownia wood box), which preserves its authenticity and enhances its value for collectors.
