Chair 66 designed by Alvar Aalto for Artek, featuring a birch frame and bold black-and-white Zebra upholstery. Designed in the 1930s, Chair 66 is one of Aalto’s most distinctive dining chair designs, combining his characteristic bent birch legs with a tall plywood backrest and sculptural cut-out opening.

The graphic Zebra upholstery creates a strong contrast against the warm tone of the aged birch and gives the otherwise restrained design a more expressive character. The rounded upholstered seat adds comfort while maintaining the compact proportions and light appearance of the original chair.
