A refined Kutani-yaki (九谷焼) tea bowl from the Tokuyama Kiln (徳山窯), created by Nitta Kunihiko (新田國彦). Kutani ware, a porcelain tradition originating in Ishikawa Prefecture, is celebrated for its vibrant overglaze enamels and bold painterly designs. This piece reflects that heritage with delicate hand-painted decoration and balanced form, making it both a functional chawan and a collector’s ceramic work.
The chawan comes with its original tomobako (signed wooden box), which provides protection and affirms authenticity, enhancing its value within the Japanese tea tradition.
