This model 100 G floor lamp was designed by Finnish designer Yrjö Kukkapuro and produced by Haimi in the 1960s. Its long, architectural profile combines a black circular base, a chrome-plated tubular steel frame and sculptural black-painted aluminium reflectors.
The highly adjustable construction allows the lamp to be tailored to different interiors and lighting needs. Its height can be set from approximately 100 to 195 cm, while the long horizontal arm and articulated lamp head can also be repositioned. The movable reflectors make it possible to direct and shape the light with unusual flexibility.
The lamp exemplifies Kukkapuro’s experimental and function-led approach to design. Visible adjustment screws and exposed structural elements form part of its visual character, while the restrained black, chrome and aluminium palette gives the piece a precise, graphic presence. Despite its generous reach, the circular base keeps the composition visually grounded.
This example is in neat vintage condition and the electrical components have been tested and work well. There is minor wear to the base and small areas of paint loss near the junction of the arm, consistent with age and use. Please review all images for details.
