Alvar Aalto Chair 69 Set with Johanna Gullichsen Upholstery

Chair 69 is one of Alvar Aalto’s best known chair designs for Artek. It has been in production since the 1930s and is still popular because the shape is simple, practical, and easy to use in many different spaces. These chairs have birch frames and newly upholstered seats in dark blue and white Johanna Gullichsen fabric.

The fresh upholstery gives the chairs a clean updated look while still fitting well with the classic Aalto design. They work well around a dining table, in a kitchen, or as extra seating. Measurements: Height 76 cm; Width 44 cm; Depth 47 cm; Seat height 45.5 cm.

The chair’s scale and clear profile allow it to work naturally as an individual seating piece in both contemporary and vintage interiors.
