Designed by Alvar Aalto in 1945, Bench 153A is the longer version of Artek's slatted 153 bench. Its simple, open seat rests on four of Aalto's curved L-legs, a construction that has become a familiar feature of Finnish modern furniture.
This example is finished in black. The label beneath the seat reads “Artek”, “Design Alvar Aalto” and “Made in Finland 2020”, dating this piece to 2020. The bench has light signs of use, including visible marks to the underside and edges. Please review all images for details.
