The BeoSound 9000 is one of Bang & Olufsen’s most recognisable audio designs. Instead of hiding the CDs inside a conventional player, the system displays six discs vertically behind a smoked glass front. The result is both a functional high-end CD player and a sculptural design object, typical of B&O’s approach where technology, movement and materials are made visible.

This early Mk I version has the classic aluminium, black and smoked glass appearance. The long vertical format gives the piece a strong architectural presence, whether placed on its floor stand, wall-mounted or integrated into an interior. The mechanical movement between the discs is a central part of the design, making the act of playing music visually engaging.

A highly collectible Bang & Olufsen piece from the 1990s, suitable for both use and display. Its combination of aluminium, glass, precise mechanics and minimal controls makes it one of the most iconic CD players ever produced.
