Designed in the early 1990s by Toshiyuki Kita, the Tok lounge chair for Stokke (also marketed under Varier) exemplifies dynamic, ergonomic seating. Built on a balance-based reclining mechanism, the chair responds to your movements—encouraging active posture changes while supporting your spine. A horizontally adjustable headrest offers tailored comfort for reading, watching TV, or relaxing
The chair is thoughtfully constructed with three-layer laminated beech wood shells, wrapped in plush upholstery (available in fabric or leather), and sits on a swivel base with controlled recline and resistance adjustment .
Produced by Stokke/Varier, Norway.
