Early Chair 66 designed by Alvar Aalto, with an ash frame and dark upholstered seat. The owner dates these examples to the 1930s–1940s.

The pronounced grain and warm patina give the wood a distinctive character. Bent legs, a round seat and the open backrest retain the familiar lines of Aalto’s 1935 design.

The chairs are reported to retain their original finish and seat upholstery. These early ash examples will appeal to collectors of Aalto furniture.

Four chairs are available, sold and priced individually. One backrest has been glued; please see the separate condition details.
