Pino Interiors — FAQ
Questions, answered.
Practical information about buying vintage design, condition and authenticity, worldwide delivery, sourcing, showrooms, rentals and selling a piece to Pino.
01
Buying vintage furniture
Are the pieces on the website physically available?
Yes. Available products are individual stock items held by Pino unless the product page states otherwise. Because most vintage pieces are unique, availability can change quickly.
Can I reserve a piece?
Unfortunately, we are unable to reserve products. Most pieces in our collection are unique and available as single examples, so the first completed purchase secures the item. This keeps availability clear and fair for every customer.
Can I see a piece before buying it?
Yes. Visits to our Helsinki locations are available by appointment. Send us the product link before your visit so we can confirm where the piece can be viewed. Book a showroom visit.
Can I request additional photos, measurements or a video?
Yes. Send us the product link and tell us which details you would like to inspect. We can provide additional photos, measurements or a video when needed.
Are product measurements exact?
Measurements are taken manually and should be treated as approximate. If a measurement is critical for a doorway, lift or room, ask us to confirm it before ordering.
Can Pino store my purchased piece before delivery?
We normally offer up to 14 days of complimentary storage after purchase. Longer storage may be possible by individual agreement; please contact info@pinointeriors.fi to discuss your situation.
02
Condition & authenticity
Are all Pino Interiors pieces authentic?
Yes. Pino Interiors only acquires and sells pieces that we have established to be authentic. We carefully examine each item’s construction, materials, labels, proportions and production details before adding it to our collection. If we are not confident about a piece’s authenticity, we do not offer it for sale. Original certificates or provenance documents are included whenever they are available, but many authentic vintage pieces no longer have their original paperwork.
What condition are your vintage pieces in?
Every vintage piece is individual. Product pages describe known wear, repairs and imperfections that may affect your decision, and the photographs form an important part of the condition description.
What does “good vintage condition” mean?
It means the piece functions and presents well for its age while retaining normal signs of previous use. The individual photographs and condition description always take precedence over a general condition term.
Is patina considered damage?
Not necessarily. Colour variation, softened finishes and small marks can be natural parts of a vintage piece’s history. Structural damage and significant repairs are described separately whenever known.
Are the pieces cleaned before sale?
Yes. Pre-owned pieces are cleaned and prepared using methods appropriate for their materials and surfaces. Read more about our approach in Shipping & Care.
Have the pieces been restored or reupholstered?
Some pieces remain in original condition, while others have been repaired, restored or reupholstered. Relevant known work is stated on the product page.
Are vintage lamps tested before sale?
Yes. Vintage lamps are tested to confirm that they are functioning. Unless otherwise stated, they are generally sold with their original electrical components. If the electrics have been renewed or modified, this will be mentioned in the product information. We recommend consulting a qualified electrician if local electrical standards or installation requirements need to be confirmed.
03
Shipping & delivery
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. International shipments travel by air freight or road freight depending on the destination and the piece. As a guideline, delivery usually takes 7–14 business days, but this is an estimate and actual timing may vary. We choose express shipping whenever possible, so shipments often arrive sooner. Furniture delivery is made to the building entrance unless another service has been agreed. If you need delivery at a specific time, contact us so we can arrange the timing with you. If your destination is unavailable at checkout, contact us for an individual solution. See Shipping & Care for more information.
How is shipping calculated?
Shipping depends on the destination, dimensions, weight, fragility and required handling. Large pieces and combined orders may require a separate quotation.
How quickly is an order dispatched?
Orders are normally prepared within 1–5 business days. All dispatch and delivery times are estimates; actual timing may vary according to the destination, route, product, carrier and other practical circumstances.
How long does furniture delivery take in Finland?
Delivery within Finland usually takes 3–8 business days. Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the destination, route, piece and transport method.
How are large or fragile pieces transported?
For larger deliveries in Finland, we use trusted private couriers who deliver to the building entrance and handle the shipment carefully throughout the journey. International furniture delivery is also made to the building entrance unless another service has been agreed. The transport and packaging method is selected for the individual piece, and delivery timing is always an estimate.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes. Tracking information is provided when the selected transport service supports it. Specialist private furniture deliveries may not have conventional online tracking, but we follow the delivery directly with the driver and keep you informed about its progress.
Are shipments insured?
Shipments are insured against loss and damage during transport under the applicable shipping terms. Please review our current Shipping Policy before ordering.
Who pays customs duties and import taxes?
Import duties, taxes and local handling charges are generally the buyer’s responsibility and are not included in the shipping price.
Does furniture delivery include carrying the piece inside?
Furniture delivery in Finland and internationally is made to the building entrance unless another service has been agreed. Carry-in inside the building or home may be available by prior agreement. Contact us before ordering if stairs, lifts or access require planning.
04
Orders & returns
Can I cancel an order?
Contact us as soon as possible. An order can be cancelled before dispatch; after dispatch, the current return policy applies.
Can I return an online order?
Eligible EU/EEA consumers can notify Pino of a withdrawal within 14 days of receiving the order and return it during the following 14 days. The customer is responsible for return transport. Please check the current Refund Policy for full conditions.
Can a custom or reupholstered piece be returned?
Custom-made and clearly personalised products are excluded from the usual withdrawal right where permitted by law. Please review the terms before confirming custom work.
What should I do if my order arrives damaged?
Contact Pino within three days of delivery. Keep all packaging and send photos of the product, damage and packaging to info@pinointeriors.fi so the shipment can be investigated.
05
Showrooms
Where are Pino’s Helsinki locations?
The Kalasatama showroom is at Vanha Talvitie 19 A, 00580 Helsinki. The Töölö warehouse is at Valhallankatu 12–14, 00250 Helsinki.
Do the locations have regular opening hours?
Both locations operate by appointment so the requested pieces can be prepared before the visit. Choose a location and book your visit.
Which location should I book?
Check the location shown on the product page. If you want to see several pieces, send their links beforehand and we will confirm the best location.
06
Sourcing & archive
What is the Pino Archive?
The Pino Archive is a record of previously sourced and sold pieces. It documents our past selection and can be used as a reference for a sourcing request.
Can you find another example of an archived piece?
Possibly. Send us the archived product link so we know which model, version and materials you are looking for.
Can Pino source a specific designer or model?
Yes. Send the designer, model, preferred material, colour, quantity and delivery location through our Sourcing Request. Availability and timing cannot be guaranteed because vintage pieces must be found individually.
How long does sourcing take?
There is no fixed timeline. Common models may appear regularly, while rare versions can take considerably longer.
How does payment work for a sourced piece?
Once a suitable piece has been found and the purchase has been confirmed, payment is normally made in advance. We explain the payment and delivery arrangements clearly before the order is finalised.
07
Services & rentals
Do you upholster customers’ own furniture?
Selected customer-owned furniture can be considered for upholstery. Send photographs and a short description so we can assess the structure, required work and fabric options. Learn more about Upholstery.
Can you help me select a fabric?
Yes. Pino can suggest fabrics based on the piece, intended use, colour and atmosphere you are looking for.
Can I rent furniture for a photoshoot or event?
Yes. Pino rents furniture, lighting, objects and complete setups for shoots, productions, events, pop-ups and temporary interiors. Explore Rentals.
What is the difference between Rental Only and sale stock?
Rental Only pieces are kept specifically for rental and are not offered for sale. Regular sale stock may only be available for selected rentals by prior agreement and subject to timing.
Can the Pino showroom be rented?
Yes. The Kalasatama showroom can be considered for selected photoshoots, presentations, dinners and other creative uses. See Showroom Hire.
Do you work with interior designers and businesses?
Yes. Pino supports professional clients with sourcing, individual purchases, larger selections, rentals, styling, combined deliveries and international logistics. Contact us with your project details.
08
Sell your piece to Pino
Does Pino buy furniture from private sellers?
Yes. Send us one clear photograph and any information you already have. You do not need to identify, value or classify the condition yourself. Start at Sell Your Piece to Pino.
What kind of pieces does Pino buy?
Pino considers distinctive furniture, lighting and design objects in different conditions, including pieces and projects that may require restoration.
What information should I send first?
One clear photograph is enough to begin. Pickup location, dimensions and photographs of labels are helpful but optional at the first stage.
Can Pino arrange collection?
Collection can often be arranged within Finland. International possibilities depend on the piece, location and practical transport options.
Can I offer several pieces or an entire collection?
Yes. Send overall photographs and your location first, and we will tell you which additional information is useful.
