Alvar Aalto Y805C Glass Side Table for Artek
The Y805C glass table was designed by Alvar Aalto for Artek. Its compact square glass top rests on a sculptural birch frame formed from four bent elements.
The contrast between clear glass and pale birch makes the bent support structure visible through the top. The small edge flaw in the glass is shown in a detail photograph and should be considered when reviewing this individual table.
The transparent top reveals the softly curved wooden structure beneath, giving the table a light and architectural character.
The table is in very good vintage condition overall. The glass top has a small chip or crack at the edge, shown in the detail image.
