An Alvar Aalto L92 / 92 extendable dining table for Artek, combining a warm teak top with figured birch legs. The expressive grain in the legs gives this example a distinctive character, complementing the long lines and softly rounded corners of the tabletop.

Two separate extension leaves allow the table to adapt from everyday dining to a larger gathering. The extension mechanism works smoothly. With its straightforward form and contrasting wood tones, the table makes a striking centrepiece while retaining the practicality of an extendable design.
