This 1950s DL82 drop-leaf table brings together Alvar Aalto’s compact, practical design and a striking petrol blue linoleum surface. The rich colour sits beautifully against the warm birch frame and curved L-legs.

A single hinged leaf provides extra tabletop space when needed, then folds down to keep the table compact. Its adaptable form is well suited to a small kitchen, dining corner or everyday workspace.

The birch has developed an attractive patina, giving this older example a warm and distinctive character. The petrol blue top is a particularly appealing feature.

The table is otherwise in very good vintage condition. The linoleum has fine surface crazing, shown as clearly as possible in the photographs. Additional close-up photographs are available on request. One table is available.
