Alvar Aalto Model 92 Extendable Dining Table by Artek

A rare Model 92 extendable dining table designed by Alvar Aalto and manufactured by Artek in Finland. The design combines Aalto’s characteristic bent birch legs with a practical extending tabletop.

The table includes two extension leaves, allowing it to be used in several lengths from a compact dining table to a generously sized table for larger gatherings. The original construction and extension mechanism are preserved, and the leg screws have never been removed.

This example is in good vintage condition with light age-related wear to the surface. There are a few marks and two circular glass rings visible on one of the extension leaves.

A particularly collectible example of Aalto’s furniture design, combining an uncommon format with a beautifully aged birch surface and intact original construction.
