Vintage dining table designed by Alvar Aalto for Artek, dating from the 1940s. Made in birch, the table features Aalto’s characteristic bent L-legs together with an early double finger-joint construction, a detail associated with older Artek production.

The simple rectangular form and restrained construction are characteristic of Aalto’s approach to furniture design, where practical everyday use is combined with carefully developed woodworking techniques.
