Arne Jacobsen Prepop Dining Set – Yellow, Asko 1970s
Designed in 1969, the Prepop dining set is one of Arne Jacobsen’s most playful late designs, and a truly rare sight in real life. Produced by Asko in Finland, it captures that late-60s future optimism mood with bold curves and a graphic silhouette that still feels fresh today.
The set includes a round table and six matching bentwood chairs in a bright yellow finish, paired here with zebra-pattern seat cushions. The chairs have that signature Prepop cut-out detail in the backrest, which also makes them easy to lift and move around. The table’s sculptural base mirrors the chair forms, so the whole group reads as one cohesive piece rather than separate items. Prepop was produced in very limited numbers, which is why complete sets like this are especially rare and highly collectible.
