Medicine cabinet designed by Aino Aalto and manufactured by Oy Huonekalu- ja Rakennustyötehdas Ab, dating approximately to the 1930s–1940s.
The lacquered birch exterior has a warm, aged tone. A red cross within a green circle identifies its original purpose, while a hinged door opens onto a divided interior with shelves.
A compact wall cabinet with simple, practical proportions and a distinctive place in early Finnish furniture design. A key is included, and metal hanging brackets are fitted at the rear.
One cabinet is available, sold individually, with its visible age-related wear and patina retained.

Material-aware guidance Care for this piece
Based on the materials stated in this piece’s product information. Vintage finishes vary, so test any product on an inconspicuous area first.
Wood
Dust with a soft cloth. For light cleaning, use a barely damp cloth and dry immediately. Protect the surface from standing water, direct heat and strong sunlight; do not oil, sand or refinish unless the original finish is known.
Metal
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, use a lightly damp cloth with mild soap and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive pads, metal polish and harsh chemicals; these can remove plating, paint or an established patina.
