Vintage Alvar Aalto Hat Rack 1940s

A rare early wall hat rack designed by Alvar Aalto for Artek in the 1940s. It is a great example of Aalto’s calm, practical style, where the shape is simple but still special. The bentwood triangle supports are classic Aalto and you see the same idea in his famous stools.

The slatted back keeps it light on the wall, and the birch frame and bentwood supports feel solid. The original metal hooks are great for coats, hats, and scarves. It fits nicely in a hallway, entry, or even a bedroom.

Measurements: Width 100 cm; Depth 30 cm; Height 27 cm. Its proportions, material character and surface details allow the piece to sit comfortably in both contemporary and vintage interiors.

This piece is in good vintage condition with light patina consistent with age. Three small grooves have been made to the back edge of the shelf, positioned against the wall. They are minor and not visible from the front during normal use. Please review all images for details.
