Hannibal Two-Seater Sofa – Kurt Hvitsjö for Isku, Black Leather

Designed by Finnish designer Kurt Hvitsjö for Isku in the 1970s, this two-seater Hannibal sofa combines black leather upholstery with a distinctive tubular chrome-steel frame. Its oversized, rounded forms and deep cushioning give it a sculptural presence.

Design and history

The Hannibal model is an example of 1970s Finnish design. This two-seat version carries the model’s characteristic generous proportions, rounded upholstery and exposed chrome detailing.

Materials and construction

The sofa is upholstered in black leather and supported by a chromed steel frame. Generously padded seat, back and arm sections form its distinctive soft silhouette.
