Artek 83 table designed by Alvar Aalto, featuring a white laminate tabletop and birch frame with the larger L-legs. The 83 table is one of Aalto’s most practical and recognizable table designs, made with the same bentwood language that defines many of Artek’s most iconic pieces.
This version has a clean white laminate surface, which gives the table a very usable and light appearance. The birch frame and legs bring warmth to the otherwise minimal form, making the table easy to place in both modern and more classic interiors. The contrast between the white top and natural birch edge is simple, balanced and very typical for Artek.
The table is fitted with the larger L-legs, attached with four screws. This gives the table a strong and stable structure, and also makes the design feel slightly more substantial than smaller Artek table models. With its 182 cm length, the table works well as a dining table for a larger setting, a studio table, a work table or a clean kitchen table.
